Sewa-II水电站位于我n the Mashka, Kathua district in Jammu and Kashmir state. It is constructed by NHPC Limited on the Sewa River, a tributary of the Ravi River. It is a concrete gravity-type dam. The height & length of the dam is 53 m & 114 m. The Head race tunnel is horseshoe-shaped with a dia. of 3.3 m & a length is 10.084 km. The total length of the penstock is 826.06 m. Tailrace channel is an open channel with a size of (3.5 × 4.55) m. TRC is having three units lengths of the units are 28 m,39 m & 50 m respectively. The output capacity of the project is 120 MW i.e (40×3) MW.
Encardio-rite was awarded the sub-contract for supply as well as installation of safety monitoring instrumentation for the Dam, powerhouse, headrace tunnel, and desilting chambers. The instrumentation included:
