This project involved the construction of 17 bored pile walls of 1.8 m in diameter and 44 foundation bored piles ranging from 1.8 m to 2.3 m in diameter for one tower block of over 60 storeys and podium. The piles were constructed in a very steep inclined ground using a massive temporary steel platform. Due to the height of the proposed building, very deep rock sockets averaging 20 m (maximum 26 m) were carried out using 6 RCD at peak. Also included were some minor road works and slope stabilization works involving soil nails.
Encardio-rite supplied safety monitoring geotechnical instruments for the project. The instrumentation were supplied through our Marketing Associate in Hong Kong and included mostly Digital Inclinometers to monitor lateral movement of piles.
